Mr. Frank James Pettit, 65, passed away on December 14, 2019 at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. Frank was born on December 25, 1953, in West Point, the son of the late Jesse James and Erlene Wray Pettit. He was a Mechanic for Quality Auto for 42 years. He was a collector of NASCAR memorabilia. He loved being outside, tractors, gardening, especially tomatoes, and his canine companion, Daisy. He was a member of the First Christian Church in West Point. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother, and friend. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant son, Justin Pettit.
Visitation will be Tuesday, December 17, 2019 from 12:00-1:00 P.M. at Calvert Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 P.M. from Calvert Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Eric Ross. Burial will follow in Memorial Garden Cemetery in West Point. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.
Survivors include one daughter, Christy Kimbrell (Jeff) of Mayhew: one son, Brad Pettit (Brooke) of West Point: two-granddaughters: Elizabeth Howard and Presley Pettit: two grandsons: Brady Kimbrell and Parker Pettit, and one sister, Caroline Rogers of Huntsville, Alabama.
Pallbearers will be Deputies of the Clay County Sheriff’s Department.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Clay County Sheriff's Department, Mississippi Highway Patrol, and Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks.
