Mary Francis Shell

December 24, 1929 – January 03, 2020

For we know that if the earthly tent we live in is destroyed, we have a building from God, an eternal house in heaven, not built by human hands. (2 Corinthians 5:1 NIV)

January 3, 2020, our beloved mother, aunt, grandma Mary Francis Shell heard the call of her name from our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and she answered in the arms of her son, James A. Braham, Jr. in Tupelo, Mississippi; her earthly work was done.

Mary Francis Shell was the sixth child born in Tupelo, Mississippi to the union of her parents Kelly Wilkinson and Mary Knowles on December 24, 1929.

She confessed her hope in Jesus Christ at an very early age and joined the membership at Hope Well Missionary Baptist Church, where she remained a faithful member until her death.

Her precious joy of all was her family and taking care of children in the community, this is why she choose to fullfill her position as an heads start teacher, where she served for 34 years. She had also had a joy for cross word puzzles and creating her own designs for jewlery that is worn by several members of her family today. Quilting and sewing were other gifts she was blessed to have. She enjoyed reading to pass her time, which is what she enjoyed the most. Her pride and joy was her family, devoted to each of them in her own special way. Always would find the time to invest in her familiy and friends, quality time was always very important to her.

One thing many people remember about our beloved Mary Francis is her sweet personality, never meeting a stranger and making you feel so warm, and welcome while in her presence. She loved the lord and reading his words.

Mary Francis Shell has a determined mind and always had a work of encouraging others.

Her parents preceded her in death, two brother, Jessie Morris, Richard Trice, three sisters, Mattie Parlos, Josephine Sawyer, and Georgia Davis.
