Lisa Elmore Henley

March 26, 1956 – March 13, 2020

West Point, MS – Mrs. Lisa Elmore Henley, 63, passed away on March 13, 2020 at her residence in West Point. Lisa was born on March 26, 1956, in West Point, the daughter of the late Charles Raleigh and Miriam Sharp Elmore. She was a graduate of Oak Hill Academy. She was the former director of the West Point/ Clay County Animal Shelter. She was a member of First Baptist Church in West Point where she loved singing in the choir. Lisa loved her grandchildren dearly. Aside from being an avid animal lover, she enjoyed watching Mississippi State Women's Basketball. She also was a listener of all genre of music, being partial to classic rock. Lisa enjoyed fishing in Florida and trapping with her husband James. She was an avid motorcycle rider, owning her own bike and always looked forward to riding with the Patriot Guard. Lisa frequented theme parks and was a genuine lover of life itself.

Visitation will be Tuesday, March 17, 2020 from 9:00-11:00 A.M. at First Baptist Church in West Point, MS. Memorial Service will follow at 11:00 A.M. with Reverend Dale Funderburg officiating. Burial will be at a later date. Calvert Funeral home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.

Survivors include her husband: James G. Henley of West Point: one daughter, Lesley Rivera (Andy) of Orlando, Florida: one son, Chris Henley (Ali) of Saltillo, MS: one sister, Melanie Elmore of West Point, four grandchildren: Liliana Rivera of Orlando, Florida, Caden, Blake and Aubrie Henley of Saltillo, MS. Lisa was predeceased by an infant daughter, Stephanie Henley.
