Mrs. Rita Faye Barnett McIntosh, 52, transitioned on Saturday, July 18, 2020 at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo.
Mrs. Rita Faye Barnett McIntosh was born to the late Nathaniel Barnett and the late Forestine Marshall Barnett on September 27, 1967 in Lee County, MS.
Rita is a member of Mt. Nebo C.M.E. Church in Baldwyn, MS. She’s the wife of Guy McIntosh and the mother of five children. She worked for Longview Nursing Home for 30 years.
Rita loved to shop, clean, take care of her flowers and loved music. Her favorite colors are pink and silver. She was a dedicated worker and was devoted to her job, until she became disabled a few years ago.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories, her husband: Guy McIntosh, four children: Santana Barnett, Katlene Barnett-Tomesha of Tupelo, MS, Lakedra Barnett (McKinney) Major McKinney of Baldwyn, MS, Sederian Barnett of Tupelo, MS, siblings: Shelia Barnett Grove, Derrick Barnett, Bessie Barnett, and Donald Barnett, eleven grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives.
She is preceded by her parents: Nathaniel Barnett and Forestine Marshall Barnett, her son: Elbert J. Barnett, two siblings: Sonya Barnett and Joe Lewis.
Graveside Service will take place on Sunday, July 26, 2020 at 2p.m. at Mt. Nebo Cemetery in Baldwyn, MS. Serenity-Simmons Funeral Home of New Albany is in charge of the arrangements.
Visitation will be on Sunday, July 26, 2020 from 12 Noon until 1p.m. at Serenity-Simmons Funeral Home Chapel in New Albany.
