Thomas Roy Parker, 51 of Pontotoc, Mississippi departed for his eternal trail ride on Tuesday, November 3, 2020, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, Mississippi. Born Wednesday, March 26, 1969 in Vardaman, Mississippi, he was a son to the late James B. Parker and Janie Simms Parker.
Thomas , affectionately known as “T-Roy” by his friends, was a graduate of Vardaman High Class of 1987 where he played football for the Rams. T-Roy, a man of the outdoors, found joy in the expanse of the open air. While he was spending time outside, he could be found participating in his favorite hobby, riding horses. Though T-Roy has departed he leaves behind a unique memory that will be forever held in the hearts of his family and friends.
Those left to continue life without Thomas include daughter, Kaleigh Parker of Pontotoc; one sister, Carol Sutherland (Steve) of Vardaman; three grandchildren: Leilani Wells, Adonis Duke and Nova Ivy; one nephew, Nicholas Parker; one, niece, Janie Sutherland
He was preceded in death by his parents, James B. Parker and Janie Simms Parker;one brother, Mike Parker.
The Family will receive friends on Saturday, November 7, 2020 from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm in the Elzey Memorial Chapel. The funeral service remembering T- Roy’s life will begin at 2:00 PM on Saturday, November 7, 2020 in the sanctuary of Elzey Memorial Chapel with Bro. Jimmy Vance and Bro. Fred Hartley officiating. Interment will be in Elzey Cemetery
