Cedar Bluff, MS – Angela L. Callahan Hardin, 54, died Monday, January 25, 2021 at North MS Medical Center, Tupelo. Angela was born in Jackson to Jane K. Callahan and the late Melvin Callahan. She worked for Southern Farm Bureau as a Senior Pension Correspondent for 30 years and was of the Baptist faith. Angie graduated from Forest Hills High School in Jackson, MS in 1984 and in 1986 earned her associates degree in business from Hinds Community College. Besides being a champion barrel racer, Angie was also crowned Miss Mississipi High School Rodeo Queen in 1984. Some 30 years later she was reunited with her high school sweetheart, Charles S. Hardin, Jr., and they wed in December of 2018.
Angie was a loving wife who took much pride in her children and granddaughter. Her father; infant son, Anthony Evans and sister, Susan Covington, predeceased her.
Graveside services will be Friday, January 29, 2021 at 2:00 pm with Brother Bob Edwards officiating. Burial will follow in Cairo Cumberland Presbyterian Cemetery in Cairo, MS. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include her husband, Charles Scott Hardin, Jr. of Cedar Bluff; daughters, Anna A. Dowe (Nathan) of Peyton, CO, Alisha M. Hardin of Petal; son, Robert Kyle Evans of Florence; granddaughter, Felicity Kay Dowe; her mother, Jane K. Callahan of Brandon; and one brother, Donald Miller Callahan of Raymond.
