Laura Joe Dillard

Laura Joe Dillard was born September 21, 1931 to the late Willie Daniel and Annie Bell Daniel of Arkansas. She joined Second Baptist Church in Verona, MS at an early age.
She was married to the late Sammie (Sonny) Dillard for 66 years. There were eight children born to this union: Joann (James) Gregory of Tupelo, MS, Priscilla (Dexter) Merritt of Tupelo, MS, Laura A. Dillard of Tupelo, MS, Mike (Denise) Shumpert of Tupelo, MS ; a special niece. Gloria (Mike) Harris of Pontotoc, MS; ten grandchildren all of Tupelo, MS: Kizzy Dillard, Lafunda Dillard, Nick Gregory, Ryanton (Shaquille) Merritt, Destiney Merritt, Kim Brownlee, Taylor Dillard, Deshun Watkins, Lashun Watkins, Teneka Clifton, Veronica Brown, Charles Carter; three special nieces: Princess Merritt, Paula Patterson, Pam Mcgaugh; twenty great grandchildren; ten great-great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by two daughters: Laura K. Dillard, Valda Campbell; three sons: Earnest Harris, Thomas Harris, Willie Earl Daniels; three sisters: Mary Niel Daniels; Margaret Bumphis, Willie Paul Daniels; and one brother Sam Daniels.
