Tommy Gavin Benefield

Tommy Gavin Benefield, age 44, of Scobey, MS died unexpectedly Sunday, February 21, 2021 in Grenada, MS. He was born December 8, 1976, in Biloxi, MS to the late Otis Benefield the 1st, and Maria (Winner) Benefield. Known in some circles as the “Gentle Giant”, Tommy was known to have a huge heart. He was the kind of person that was always concerned about those he knew and loved. As such, he loved to reach out and help people in need. Tommy was also a very talented artist, who loved to draw and paint. He had even customize shoes for people. One thing that appealed to him so was Marvel Comics and their characters. He also loved anything to do with Star Wars.

Visitation is planned for Friday, February 26, 2021, in the Gardiner Room of Seven Oaks Funeral Home from 12:00 Noon until 2:00 PM. Services will follow at 2:00 PM in the Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks with Bro. Brenan Allen officiating. Burial will be in Elam Cemetery in Coffeeville, MS.

Tommy is survived by one sister, Kristina Kendall (Roger) of Scobey, MS; one brother Otis Benefield the 2nd; five nieces, Angel Kendall, Madison Benefield, Haley Kendall, Kymberlie Benefield, Memphis Benefield; two nephews, Mike Kendall, Otis Benefield; and one great niece, Ellie Kendall.

Tommy was preceded in death by both of his parents.
