Lynn Stine

October 3, 1945 – March 19, 2021

Lynn Alexander Stine,75, died peacefully on Friday, March 19, at her home surrounded by family. The family will lay her to rest in a private graveside service at Henry Cemetery.

Lynn was born in Corinth to the late Dorothy Lee and Irl Thomas Alexander Sr,. She was in the graduating class of 1963 from Corinth High School. She married her fellow classmate and love of her life, Tommy Stine on August 6, 1963. She was a lifelong member of Waldron Street Christian Church, where she served as the church secretary for over 30 years. She sang in the church choir, taught Sunday School, and was a past president and member of the Pauline Missionary Society. She was a life member of Junior Auxiliary of Corinth, as well as, a lifetime member and past president of The Town and Country Garden Club of Corinth.

Lynn was a dedicated wife, mother and doting grandmother and loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed traveling with her husband Tommy to runs and races across the area. She took pleasure in cross stitching and word puzzles. She was an avid fan of the sport of tennis, taking great joy in watching her children compete and going on annual trips to the US Open with her daughter.

She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Tommy Stine; two children, Rebecca Stine of Oswego, IL and William Stine (Alice) of Olive Branch, MS; a grandchild, Trae Stine of Olive Branch, MS; one brother, Tommy Alexander of Corinth, MS; 5 nieces, Dawn Alexander of Roswell, GA, Deborah Baugus (Mike) of Corinth, MS, Dana Laurie (Matt) of Jacksonville, FL, Dyana Gates (Kenny) of Corinth, MS, and Tonya Patterson of Jackson, TN; and a host of grand-nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to: Waldron Street Christian Church Building Fund, 806 E Waldron St, Corinth, MS 38834 or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, PO Box 50, Memphis, TN 38101.
