Mr. Eddie Wayne Ware, Jr., 54, passed away on October 17, 2021 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Columbus. Eddie was born on July 13, 1967, in Fort Benning, Georgia, the son of Mary Thornton Ware and the late Eddie Ware, Sr. He was a 1984 graduate of Cumberland High School. He joined the Army right out of high school, where he served as a EMT and Ranger. He served in Desert Storm. He worked as an IT Specialist for Sitel Communication for 8 years. He was a loving husband and brother and he loved his family. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He never met a stranger and to know him was to love him. He married Lori Lee Ware on April 22, 2004. She preceded him in death on December 11, 2008.
Visitation will be on Friday, October 22, 2021 from 10:00 AM-12:00 PM at Calvert Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 12:00 PM from Calvert Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Randy Witbeck. Burial will follow in the Old Cumberland Cemetery in Cumberland. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.
Survivors include his mother, Mary Cliff Thornton Ware of Cumberland: two sisters, Amanda Burgess of Cumberland and Heather Gilbert of Mathiston: one brother, David Ware (Denise) of Starkville and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Paul Ware, Doug Burgess, Aaron Burgess, Kouper Burgess, Kyle Powell, and Kaleb Warnock.
