Richie Lynn Phillips Lott, age 55, of Water Valley, MS died unexpectedly Wednesday, January 5, 2022, at her home. She was born March 11, 1966, in Water Valley, MS to the late Jessie and Anna Mae (Savage) Phillips. Early in her career, Richie worked at Washington Furniture Factory in Pontotoc, MS in the quality control department and was affectionately know as “Big Mama”. Later she went to work at the V.A. Nursing home on Oxford, where she was able to show her true character in the way she loved and treated the residents. With her big heart and compassion, it is said she never met a stranger and was always willing to help others in need. With a green thumb, Richie loved growing and tending to her plants. She also loved animals and playing solitaire on her phone. But absolutely nothing held a greater place in her heart than that of her family, especially her sixteen month old granddaughter, Courtney.
Visitation is planned for Monday, January 10, 2022, in the Gardiner Room at Seven Oaks Funeral Home from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM. Services will begin at 11:00 AM Tuesday, January 11, 2022, in the Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks. Burial will be in Pine Flat Cemetery in Lafayette County.
Richie is survived by two sons, Steven and Jeffery Clements, both of Water Valley; two brothers, Mike Phillips (Dana) of Pontotoc, MS, Steve Phillips (Theresa) of Baldwin, MS; two sisters, Kathy Schmitz of Water Valley, Jessica Nicholson (Kirk) of Nashville, TN; and one grand-daughter, Courtney Anna-Lyn Clements.
Richie was preceded in death by both of her parents Jessie and Anna Mae Phillips.

Dear Lott family, I’m sorry for your loss and you have my deepest condolences. The loss of a loved one brings great pain and sorrow but you can gain comfort from God’s word the Bible. Acts 24:15 says “There is going to be a resurrection” so you can see your dear loved one again. A promise from our loving Heavenly Father. I hope this was a source of encouragement for the family.
