Walter Ronald “Ronnie” Brand

A Celebration of Life service for Walter Ronald “Ronnie” Brand, 80, are set for 1:00 pm Thursday
at Memorial Funeral Home with Bro. Rayburn Richardson officiating. Burial will be in Magnolia Gardens.
Visitation will be held Wednesday 5:00 to 8:00 at Memorial Funeral Home.

Ronnie died Sunday, October 30, 2022 at Magnolia Regional Health Center. He was born March 28, 1942 in Alcorn County to the late Walter Brewer and Grace Doran Brand. He was a member of Union Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. He was a 1961 graduate of Kossuth High School. Ronnie was owner and operator of Ronnie Brand Auto Body Shop for over 60 years. He enjoyed listening to music, especially old records, cars, rebuilding cars, going on racing trips with his buddies and loved his cats.

He is survived by his wife, Flora Brand; daughter, Delia Curtis (Charlie, Jr.); his sister, Linda Hastings (Jimmy); sister-in-law, Helen Glidewell (Billy); grandchildren, Anna Grace, Curtis Ross, and Charlie Curtis, III (Tadd Feazell); great-grandson, Andrew Bentley Ross; and nephew, Greg Hastings (Amy Beth) and his children Avery and Miller Hastings.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
