Tupelo-Dennis Max Golden, at age 77, quietly slipped away to the next life on Tuesday, November 15, 2022 at Cedars Health Center where he was undergoing rehab. Dennis was born in Joplin, Missouri on July 3, l945, the son of the late Chandler Maxmillian Golden and Mary Kathryn Rosetta “Rosie” Dunn Golden. He was a graduate of Joplin High School in l963 and studied at Joplin Junior College. He married Dorothy Lee Rutherford in Missouri on November 23, 1967 and they would have celebrated 55 years together in one week. Dennis had a very successful life career in Sales of Furniture Components. Most of his working life was with Hickory Springs and Leggett and Platt in several locations around the country, including supervising the building and opening of their plant in Beaverton, Oregon. In l987, he moved to Tupelo with Hickory Springs and retired here. Dennis, in retirement, joined his wife in her business, Golden Oldies Estate Sales, where he primarily worked security. Dennis loved flying remote control airplanes, tinkering with his clock collection, traveling especially to the State of Maine and entertaining his grandchildren, who loved their PaPaw.
A service celebrating his life will be held at 4 PM Monday, November 21, 2022 in the Sadie Holland Memorial Chapel at Holland Funeral Directors-Tupelo with officiating. Dennis is survived by his wife, Dorothy Golden of Tupelo; his daughter, Sarah Golden Mrosko (Matt) of Edinburg, Va.; his three sons, Jason Golden of Tupelo, Aaron Golden (Emily) of Saltillo and Alexander Golden (Mili) of Pueblo West, Colorado; his grandchildren, Evan Max Golden, Samantha Grace Golden, James Armendo Mrosko and Madielynn Mrosko; his sister, Peggy Golden of Berkeley, C alifornia. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Jack Golden.

So sorry to hear of the passing of Uncle Dennis. I have so many fond memories of him from my childhood. Thoughts and prayers go out to you all.
