Danny Russell Porterfield

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service for Danny Russell Porterfield, 74, of Corinth, MS will be held at 3:00 pm Monday at Memorial Funeral Home with Bro. Billy Wade Studdard officiating. Family will receive friends Monday from 1:00 pm to service time.

Danny left his earthly home on November 23rd, 2022. He was born to the late Charles and Edith Porterfield on September 28th, 1948. He was a graduate of Kossuth High School and spent most of his career in the grocery business. He was a husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He loved fishing and spent many days doing that after his retirement from Long Wholesale. He also enjoyed golfing, watching football, playing shuffleboard, cooking, spending time with grandkids and any activities involving gathering with friends and family. He is missed greatly and will be forever loved by a large family and a host of friends.

He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Lori Porterfield; his children, Angela Andreason (Jeff), Cynthia Millam (David), Rus Porterfield, Danielle McDonald (Brandon), Jordan Porterfield and Landon Porterfield; his step daughter, Megan Cook; his grandchildren, Brandon Millam (Rachel), Daniel Millam, Craig Andreason (Lauren), Corbin Porterfield, Brandon Jenkins, Marley Cook, Gryffin Cook and Jaxon Jenkins; his brother Charles Porterfield (Rachel); and his sister, Barbara Porterfield.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two sisters, Brenda and Rachel; and his granddaughter, Rhiannan Porterfield
