Troy Lee Stevens, 78, of the Tuscumbia Community, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, January 16, 2023 at his home after a brief illness.
He was a man of few words and loved his wife of 58 years, Theresa Ann “Tess” Smith Stevens; daughter, Becky Lauderdale (Terry); son, Brian Stevens (Jeannie); granddaughters, Lindsay Reed (Jacob) and Hannah Lauderdale; grandsons, Tanner Stevens and Justin Evans.
He was a mechanic for Floyd Dodds Garage and Goodyear in Booneville. He was also a diesel mechanic and truck shop manager for Quartet Manufacturing in Booneville, and the truck maintenance crew leader at Merritt Distribution Services in New Albany prior to his retirement. He was a truck driver for Huddleston Farm Service for several years after his retirement. He enjoyed fishing, but his greatest joy and hobbies were taking care of his cattle, farming and gardening.
He was preceded in death by his father, Dewey Stevens and his mother, Willard McAnally Stevens. He leaves behind a sister, Peggy Stevens Stacks (Jerry), and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be at 3:00 P.M. Friday, January 20, 2023, at McMillan Funeral Home with Bro. Gregg Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Piney Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 12:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
Honorary pallbearers are Terry Russell, Andy Stacks, T.J. Nix, Scott Clifton, Rickey Stevens, Don Beard, Jerry Kendrick and Michael Kendrick.
