Funeral Services to Celebrate the Life of Floyd Crum, 97, will be Friday, February 24, 2023 at 3 pm at Hatchie Chapel Church with Bro. Gene Coltharp and Joe Duncan officiating. Visitation will be from 1- 3 pm at the church. Burial will follow at Hatchie Chapel Church Cemetery.

Floyd passed away on February 22, 2023 at Tippah County Hospital. He was born on June 15, 1925 to the late Norman and Roxy Crum. He served as pastor of Hatchie Chapel Church for over 60 years; with he and his wife being some of the founding members of the congregation. Floyd worked for the Alcorn County Superintendent's Office for over 30 years until his retirement. He enjoyed collecting knives, being outdoors on his tractor, being around his family and most of all serving his community.

Floyd was preceded in death by his wife, Dean Crum; parents; brothers, Leroy Crum, Marvin “Doc” Crum, Lester Crum and Daniel Crum; and sisters, Earlene Miles, Alyene Crum and Marie Cofield.

He is survived by his son, Floyd J. Crum; his goddaughter, Tammy Roseberry Thornton and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers include Glenn Miles, Hollis Mercer, Ronnie Mercer, Scott Mercer, Shane Bayless and Wyatt Bayless.
