Kimberly Ann “Kim” MacIntosh, 39, died Tuesday, April 11, 2023, at her home in Oxford, MS. Visitation will be held Sunday, April 16, 2023, from 1:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. in West Hall of Waller Funeral Home.
Kim was born on February 17, 1984, in Greenwood, MS. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree from The University of Mississippi and later returned to her alma mater as Editorial Coordinator at The Institute of Child Nutrition. With a passion for her field, Kim was always furthering her education through research and looking for creative ways to apply her expertise. After work, Kim loved to meet up with friends at the Y or Align Fitness, to workout together. Known for her compassionate heart, she loved all animals and had a deep appreciation for nature. Kim looked for any excuse to breathe in fresh air, especially taking her dogs for a walk or tending to her chickens.
With an unmatched zeal for life, Kim lit up a room like no other. She had a warm and welcoming spirit that drew others to her and provided them with a sense of comfort. Kim was always looking for the joy in life’s mundane moments. In the evenings, she loved to spend time in the kitchen cooking and trying new recipes, making it fun rather than another task. Kim cared deeply for her friends and family and would go above and beyond to make sure they knew how much they meant to her. On Blake’s birthday each year, she would craft homemade cards and have them waiting on his pillow when he woke up. She took her and Blake’s house together and made it into a home, a peaceful sanctuary away from the rest of the world. Her space was filled with plants and paintings that she made, making her home an extension of her own beautiful personality.
Kim is survived by her parents, Ted Crawley MacIntosh of Greenwood, MS and Freda Carol Compton MacIntosh of Carrollton, TX; her life partner of 23 years, Blake Adams of Oxford, MS; and her brother, Scott MacIntosh of Greenwood, MS.
