Mr. James Melvin Clark, 75, died April 18, 2023, at Baptist Memorial Hospital – North Mississippi. There are no services planned at this time.
Mr. Clark was born on August 16, 1947. He worked as a security guard at Winchester and various other locations. Born and raised in Mississippi, he had a natural love for the outdoors, going for walks, and enjoying the fresh air. He gained the trust of the stray cats in his neighborhood, lovingly caring for and playing with them every day. In the evenings, Mr. Clark loved to turn on MeTV channel, watching all of the old shows that he grew up with. He was known for his stories of days past, telling them in a way that could hold your attention for hours. Mr. Clark could sit at his keyboard, and as he would play the memories would start to flow, bringing him back to his days performing with his band. A wonderful father, he was so proud of his daughters and was a loving grandfather and great-grandfather. Mr. Clark was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, and four brothers.
Mr. Clark is survived by his wife of 42 years, Patricia Clark of Oxford, MS; his daughters, Becky Mooneyham and Lisa Rudolph, both of Oxford, MS; grandchildren, Olivia Rudolph, Charity Rudolph, Will Rudolph, Destiny Mooneyham, and Devin Mooneyham; his great-granddaughter, Heavenly Jones; as well as several nieces and nephews.
