Addie Mae Smith

Addie Mae Stepp Smith, age 94, passed away on Tuesday, May 2, 2023 at Porta Caeli Hospice in Tulsa, OK. She was born May 24, 1928 to Harvey and Mamie Roberson Stepp. Addie Mae was a graduate of Thaxton High School and also graduated from beauty school. She was a beautician and a quality inspector at Western Olen Ammunition Plant in IL. Addie Mae was a member of the Bethalto Church of Christ in Bethalto, IL. She enjoyed spending time with her family.

Visitation will be from 12 noon to 2:00 PM, Saturday, May 6, 2023 at Browning Funeral Home in Pontotoc, MS. A graveside service will be at 2:30 PM, Saturday, May 6, 2023 at Ingomar Cemetery. Browning Funeral Home in Pontotoc is honored to assist the family with the arrangements.

Survivors include her son, Clifton Smith and wife Kristy of Broken Arrow, OK; a son-in-law, John Taylor; a sister, Hester Stepp Sellers; a brother, Gary Lee Stepp and wife Brenda; two sisters-in-law, Willy Stepp and Mary Francis Stepp; fifteen grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Patricia Ann Smith Taylor; two sisters, Mary Frances Stepp Sutton and Hazel Stepp and two brothers, Sonny Stepp and David Gene Stepp.
