Daisy Nell Rounsaville Taylor, 81, of Bruce, departed from this life on Tuesday, April 18, 2023, at Water Valley Rehab in Water Valley, MS. She was born on February 24, 1942, in Big Creek, MS to the late Jones Rounsaville and Kathleen Yeager Rounsaville.
Daisy spent many years of her life as a secretary for Farm Bureau Insurance Company until her retirement. In her spare time, she could be found gardening or tending to her flowers. She enjoyed sewing and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of Bruce First Baptist Church and enjoyed going to Sunday School. Although she has departed from our presence, Daisy’s memory will forever be remembered in the hearts of her family and friends.
She leaves behind two daughters: Cyndi (Danny) McConnell of Opelika, AL; Sheila (Bruce) Barrett of Iuka, MS; two sisters: Georgia (Billy Joe) Boell and Wanda (James) Hughes. Brother, Billy Rounsaville; three grandchildren: Charles Luhman, Hunter Stark, and Lexi (Brent) Brocato. Daisy also leaves behind eleven great-grandchildren.
Daisy is preceded in death by her parents, Jones Rounsaville and Kathleen Rounsaville; husband, Charles Taylor; sister, Rowena Cain.
The family will receive friends on Friday, April 21, 2023, from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Parker Memorial Funeral Home in Bruce. The funeral service celebrating Daisy's life will take place on Friday, April 21, 2023, at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Parker Memorial Funeral Home in Bruce with Bro. Bob Cook and Bro. Darrell Logan officiating. Chaz Austin, Bruce Barrett, C.J. Bowling, Justin Haire, Layne Haire, Charles Luhman, Danny McConnell, and Hunter Stark will carry Daisy to rest in Bruce Cemetery. Brent Bocato will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
