Henry Marlin “PVine” Inmon

November 21, 1944 – June 1, 2023

Henry Marlin “PVine” Inmon, age 78, passed away on Thursday, June 1, 2023, at NMMC in Tupelo, surrounded by his family. He was born November 21, 1944, to I.T. and Amy Cele Warren Inmon. Marlin was a 1962 graduate of Pontotoc High School and retired from BellSouth Telephone Co. He was an active member of Anchor Baptist Church.

Marlin’s love for Jesus Christ was evident in the life he led. He loved to study the Bible and teach God’s words to others, having a special way of taking God’s word and making it easy for all to understand. A great joy in life was his kids, grandkids, and great-grand child. He loved to spend time with all his family and would tell anyone who would listen how proud he was of them. Marlin had a passion for airplanes and flying and instilled his love of aviation in his son and grandsons. Along with airplanes, Marlin had a special love for classic vehicles and enjoyed his time with the Pontotoc Ridge Runners Car Club.

Services will be at 2:00 PM, Saturday, June 3, 2023, at Anchor Baptist Church, with Rev. Tommy Inmon and Rev. Clyde Pound officiating, and Dr. Steve Montgomery will deliver the eulogy. Burial will follow in the Anchor Cemetery. Browning Funeral Home is honored to assist the family with the arrangements.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Billie Bridgman Inmon; son Glen and his wife Stephanie; daughter Cathy Purdon and her husband Jerry; grandchildren Tyler Purdon, Josh Purdon and wife Olivia, Barron Inmon and wife Ali, Reed Inmon, Hayden Inmon and wife Katelyn; great granddaughter Willa Rose Purdon; sister Robbie Laprade; beloved cousins, many nieces, nephews, as well as extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother Wayne Inmon.

Pallbearers will be Tyler Purdon, Josh Purdon, Barron Inmon, Reed Inmon, Hayden Inmon and Greg Laprade.

Visitation will be at Anchor Baptist Church on Friday from 5 to 8 PM and on Saturday from 12 to 2 PM.

Memorials may be sent to St. Jude.

  1. Marlin and l have been friends for probably 60 years and I really liked him. We not only worked together but he also taught me how to fly. Marlin was a great pilot, the best I’m aware of in small planes. I sorry to hear about his death and praying for family.
