Helen Olene Casey Parker, 97, of Bruce, MS, departed from this life to her heavenly home on Wednesday, June 21, 2023, at Baptist Nursing Home in Calhoun City, MS. She graced this world with her presence on the summer day of July 08, 1925, in Pittsboro, MS, to the late Ransom Bennett Casey and Mattie Irene Lafayette Casey.
Helen was a graduate of Pittsboro High School. She spent many seasons of her life, working for the Kellwood Company until her retirement. Helen owned and operated Parker Quality Clothing. She was a former member of Calhoun City First Baptist Church where she served as a Sunday School Teacher and Training Union Class teacher. Helen was a Godly woman who loved people and saw the best in everyone and she showed that by sharing her plants and especially her cookies and fried pies. In her spare time, Helen could be found in the kitchen canning or outside working in her garden or flower beds where she pulled every weed or sprig of grass in sight. She played an active role in the Women's Republican Party. Helen was an active member of Bruce First Baptist Church until her health began declining. Although she has departed from our presence, she has gone to rest in a sacred place free from sickness and the pains of age.
The family would like to extend their gratitude for the love and care shown by the devoted and loving staff at Baptist Calhoun Nursing Home.
