JoAnn Fells was born on December 23, 1949 to the late Booker T. White and the late Marjorie White Davis. She
departed this life on Thursday, July 13, 2023 at the North Mississippi Medical Center.
She was a member of New Providence Missionary Baptist Church. She attended Carver Junior High School where
she was a member of the band under the leadership of Mr. Walter Partlow Sr as a majorette. She worked at various
businesses throughout Tupelo and retired from Daybrite Lightning after a lengthy employment. She loved traveling,
spending time with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family and friends. She also enjoyed playing
bingo, crossword puzzles and watching her grandchildren play sports.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother David White and two sisters, Elizabeth Westbrook and
Sandra Clay.
Memories will forever be cherished by her loving family: five daughters: Delicia Fells of Tupelo; Jennifer Fells of
Plantersville; Brenda Cobb of Richland; Demetria (Romell) Patterson of Nettleton; Kemetria (Daniel) Pack of Tupelo;
one sister, Gloria Jean White of Houston, TX; eight grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren; and a host of
nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
