Mrs. Peggy Jo Hales Plummer, 79, passed away on the morning of Wednesday, October 11, 2023, at her home in Oxford, MS. There are no services planned at this time.
Peggy was born on March 6, 1944, in Flora, MS, to the late Mable Price Hales and Howard Hales. She worked as a receptionist for the Mississippi Supreme Court for over 20 years, and then worked for Brunini Law Firm in Jackson for over 15 years, until her retirement. A loving and devoted wife, she and her husband, Ralph, shared 30 years of marriage together. Throughout their lives, they always kept faith at the center of their marriage, devoting over 50 years of membership to First Baptist Church of Jackson. They were active members of the church, lending their voices to the choir and participating in the Carols by Candlelight service for 40 years. Peggy’s life was marked by her selfless devotion to her faith, husband, and beloved children.
Peggy is survived by her husband, Ralph Plummer of Oxford, MS; two daughters, Lisa Wicker Harmon and her husband, Patrick, of Oxford, MS and Memory Lynn Parrish and her husband, Randy, of Counce, TN; step-children, Chris Plummer and his wife, Inger, of Rockford, IL and Kim Craig of Kansas City, KS; grandchildren, Maximilian, Morrissey Claire, Rush, Dane, Sofi, and Susannah Keyne Harmon; Makena Gobbell (David) and Raines Smith (Chase); Taylor Plummer (Ellen) and Haley Hansen (Noah); and great-grandchildren, Swayze Gobbell, and River Hansen.
