Gladys Ladennis King McCoy
Wheeler – Gladys Ladennis King McCoy, 96, passed away at the NMMC on Monday, October 23, 2023. She was born on December 08, 1926 to Judge and Delsie Long King. She graduated from Wheeler High School and was a longtime member of Wheeler Methodist Church where she sang in the choir and helped with directing. She also sang in a trio with brother, Boyce and sister, Jimmie. She loved spending time with her family and celebrating holidays.
Funeral services will be at Waters Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at 3:00 p. m. with Bro. Robert McCoy. Burial will be in Prentiss Memorial Gardens.
She is survived by her children, Dennis C. McCoy (Teresa) of Baldwyn, Denise Arbo (Michael) of Birmingham, AL and Patsy Harrelson (the late Tony) of Saltillo; grandchildren, Susan Carr (Tim) of Birmingham, AL, Kevin McCoy (Amy) of Atoka, TN, DeVani Adams (Jayson) of Guntown, MS, Derick McCoy of West Memphis Arkansas, Gatlin Harrelson of Hattiesburg MS, and Ariana Arbo of Birminghan, AL; (8) great-grandchildren; (5) great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her spouse, Dewey McCoy; all of her siblings, Boyce King (Catherine) of Booneville, Jettie Floyd (James) of Kilmichael, MS, Eria Jackson (Buster) of Booneville, and Jimmie Massey (Larry) of Houston, TX; son-in-law, Tony Harrelson.
Visitation will be at Waters Funeral Home on Wednesday from 2:00 – 3:00 p. m.
