Mrs. Bobbie Jean Harris, 85, died Saturday, December 2, 2023, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis, TN. No services are planned at this time. Waller Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Born in Oxford, MS to the late Arlin Price Thweatt and Doris Louise Beaver Thweatt, Mrs. Harris was a member of Gracewood Baptist Church in Southaven, MS. She served as the Secretary for the Ole Miss Band for 15 years and was a member of the Tau beta Sigma Honorary Music Sorority. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, William Thweatt and Donald Thweatt.
She is survived by her husband, Ralph Harris of Southaven, MS; daughter, Wendy McKenzie and her husband, John of Walls, MS; her brother, Roy Thweatt and his wife, Beverly, of Memphis, TN; two grandsons, A.J. Rawson and his wife, Frances, of Etta, MS and Bradley Rawson of Southaven, MS; three great grandchildren, Lilly Mae Rawson, Abigail Rawson, and Wyatt Rawson.
