Lisa Smith Kelso

January 27, 1959 – March 3, 2024

Lisa Smith Kelso, 65, passed away on Sunday, March 3, 2024, at the Sanctuary Hospice House. She was born January 27, 1959, in Itawamba County, to James and Georgia Hall Smith. She was a graduate of Mantachie High School. She was a member of the Shiloh Community Church. She worked at Day-Brite several years, and helped her father in the construction business, mainly painting and hanging wallpaper. She enjoyed taking care of her family and friends. She loved listening to music, camping and the outdoors. She liked shopping for antiques.

Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 6, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Mantachie with Bro. Ronnie Hill officiating. Burial will be in the Shiloh Cemetery.

Survivors include one son, Cole Hughes; one daughter, Emily Williams (Roger); one brother, Robert Smith (Rebecca), all of Mantachie; two sisters, Carolyn Hood (Mitchell) of the Houston community and Deborah Lemmon (Rocky) of Byhalia; two grandchildren, David Smith (Jasmine) and Emma Grace Williams; several nieces, nephews, special friends, and other special family members.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Barbara Davis and one brother-in-law, James Luther Davis; and her parents.

Pallbearers will be Eddie Eliff, Joey Eldridge, Shane Smith, Anthony Christian, Shannon Smith, and Austin Davis.

Honorary pallbearer will be Alan Davis.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home in Mantachie.
