Danny Ray Bryant passed away on July 10,2024. He was born in New Albany, Mississippi in 1942 to JB Bryant and Willie Belle Bryant.
He was a Baptist minister for most his life leading others to Christ since 1967 and a teacher at Hickory Flat high school from 1967 to 1977. He received his Masters of Theology at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary where he met his wife, Connie. They raised their family in Mississippi where he was a pastor at Temple Baptist Church in Myrtle, MS, Blythe Creek Baptist Church in Mathiston, MS, Poplar Flat Baptist Church in Louisville, MS, Scotland Baptist Church in Winona, MS, Weir Baptist Church in Weir, MS, Pleasant Ridge in Woodland, MS, and interim pastor at Mount Pisgah in Eupora, MS where he retired in 2017.
He loved all things outdoors especially gardening and fishing. He dearly loved his family and spending time with them.
He leaves behind his wife of 59 years Connie Bryant. His sister Tommye Harris. His children Danny Jr (Judy), Carol (Israel), Larry (Natasha) and Jonathan (Courtney). His 7 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild.
Visitation is scheduled for Saturday, July 13, 2024 from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at Welch Funeral Home in Starkville, MS, with the funeral service immediately following in the funeral home chapel. Dr. Gary Blair will conduct the service.
