Harold Allen Phillips, 82, passed away on July 19, 2024 in Starkville, MS. He was born February 8, 1942 in Jacksonville, Florida to the late Denny and Annie Laura Phillips.
Harold graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in Jacksonville and went on to play football at EMCC in Scooba, MS.
He was a lifelong member of the Starkville Country Club and an avid golfer, fisher, and hunter. He was a member of the Starkville Bass Club and a founding member of the Still Springs Hunting Club. He retired after 40 years from Cadence Bank. He enjoyed a career in the Loans and Collections Department.
Harold is survived by his son, Mark Phillips (Anita); four grandchildren, Erika Phillips, Zach Phillips (Krista), Kaitlyn Simmons, and Jared Simmons (Aleyy); four great grandchildren, Lanie Horn, Jace Phillips, Micah Phillips, and Maddie Mae Phillips; brother, Bill Phillips (Pat); and multiple nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.]
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Jeanine Phillips; daughter, Lisa Simmons; and infant daughter, Deanna.
Visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, July 23, 2024 from 1:00-3:00 p.m. at Meadowview Baptist Church in Starkville, MS, with the funeral service immediately following. Burial will be in Memorial Garden Park Cemetery in Starkville.
