Charles Wayne Green, of Bellefontaine, MS, passed away on August 12, 2024, at the age of 80. He was born on October 1, 1943, in Pittsboro, MS. Charles will be remembered for his deep love for his family and his unwavering commitment to his work in the agricultural industry.
Throughout his life, Charles found joy in attending singings and cherished every moment spent with his loved ones. His family was the center of his world, and he never failed to inquire about the well-being of his grandchildren. Whenever they entered the room, his eyes would light up with delight. Charles had a special bond with his sisters, and he eagerly awaited their phone calls, always eager to hear the latest news from their shared hometown of Bruce. He was also a devoted member of Walthall Baptist Church.
He is survived by his daughter Donna Skelton, son-in-law Bill of Bellefontaine, sisters Virginia McCormick of Bruce and Frances Bennett of Bruce, as well as his grandchildren Brad (Jessica) Skelton, Kacey (Mallory) Skelton and great-grandchildren who meant the world to him Whitley, Ginny Rose, Collins, and Mary Atley. A public viewing will be held at Parker Memorial Funeral Home on August 15, 2024, at 12:00 pm, followed by a funeral service in the Parker Memorial Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 pm with Bro. Robert Earl Alexander officiating. The burial ceremony will take place at Calvary Cemetery in Bruce, MS. Jeff Bennett, Joe Bennett, Herbert Dickson, Tommy Kilgo, Brad Skelton and Kacey Skelton will serve as Pallbearers. Chris Bennett, Jarrett Lee Bennett, Jeremy Bennett, Josh Bennett, Jesse Kyle James and Brian Thomas will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.
Charles Wayne Green's legacy of love, hard work, and devotion to his family will forever be cherished and remembered by all those whose lives he touched.
Charles was preceded in death by his wife Nora Green and Gail Green, father, William Green, mother, Georgia Moore Green, brother, William Dale Green, and a brother in law, J.M. McCormick and Charles Bennett.
