Mary Earlene Duff
Guntown- Monday August19, 2024 at 3:03 pm, God decided to stop the pain and suffering of his blessed child, Mary Earlene Duff (Jones, Kitchens). The gates of heaven opened and Jesus welcomed her home with open arms, reuniting her with her beloved Robert. We pray heaven is everything you always imagined it would be Mom!
Ms. Earlene was born on May 22, 1934 to Ms. Ruby E. Rea and Loyd Norman “Jack” Jones in Blue Springs MS. As a child of share croppers born during the Great Depression in rural MS, life wasn’t always easy. She would often tell us stories of picking cotton from an early age and the many struggles the family endured.
Ms. Earlene was preceded by her loving husband Robert Wayne, her parents Ruby Rea and Jack Jones, her brothers Billy and Jimi, her sisters Shirley Faye Blackard and Fannie Yvonne Floyd, several nephews and the father of her children Charles E. Kitchens.
She is survived by her daughters Sherry Summers and Tami Kitchens of Guntown, grandson Cody Joe Bouldin, great grandchildren Ariana and Ayden, great great grandson Waylon Michael, sister Norma Ann Miller of Tupelo and an abundance of nieces, nephews, friends and extended family. She loved you all and kept every picture she ever got. A special shout out to her special grandson Jax Sanders. She loved you very much.
Thank you to NMMC Hospice Staff. Your compassion and care were so much appreciated. Thank you also to Old Union Baptist Church and Light House Assembly of God for all the prayers, they were heard.
Gathering begins at 2:00pm at Waters Funeral Home in Baldwyn. Remembrance will begin at 2:45. Please join us and share a story, special memory, a poem or song. Bring a joyful heart, for she is free from her earthly suffering and is surrounded in heavenly love.
In lieu of flowers donations to St. Jude Hospital in her honor will be appreciated.
