Eva Eugenia Caldwell Spence, 88, passed away Monday, August 26, 2024 at the NMMC in Tupelo. She recently had moved back home to Houlka after living in Sherman, TX for over fifty years. She retired from an office manager job at the age of 87. She enjoyed meeting her friends at I Hop for breakfast once a week.
She requested no services.
Her cremains will be interred in the West Hill Cemetery in Sherman, TX.
Survivors, nieces, Donna Winter of Houlka, Carol Davis of Vero Beach, FL and Jane Sutton of Nashville, TN; great niece, Christy Griggs (Brian) ; great nephews, Mike Winter, Joshua Winter and Joseph Winter; and a host of great nieces and nephews; and her cat, Rusty.
Preceded in death by, husband, John LeGrand Spence; parents, Clara Huffman Caldwell and Rodrick Caldwell; two sisters, Joyce Brown and Lois Jones; brothers in law, Bobby Jones and Leford Brown; and a nephew, D L Winter.
