Herman Paul West

Herman Paul West, 89, passed away on Monday, September 9, 2024, at the North Mississippi Medical Center. He was born May 8, 1935, in Fulton, to Andy and Maggie Taylor West. He was retired from Krueger Metal after more than 30 years of service. He loved going to singings and playing the guitar, gardening, fishing, a drinking Mountain Dew.

Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 13, 2024, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Mantachie with Bro. Billy West officiating. Burial will be in the Kirkville Cemetery.

Survivors include two sons, Jacky West (Dorce) of Mooreville and Michael E. West of Madison, AL; his adopted children, Rebecca Willard (James), Michael A. West (Renee), Zachary West (Tara), Casey Gray (Marcus), and De’Anna Baugh (Jake); two sisters, Ozell West of Mantachie and Avanell Escalante of Tupelo; one brother-in-law, Graham Crafton; one sister-in-law, Peggy West; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and other family members.

He was preceded in death by and infant son; 4 brothers, Earnest West, Pat West, Carlton West, and an infant brother; two sisters, Ezell Crafton and Shirley Smith; a granddaughter, Summer Renee West; the mother of his children, Delois Petigo West; and his parents.

Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00-8:00 p.m. and on Friday from noon until service time at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home in Mantachie.
