James Dustin Nixon, 38, passed away peacefully on September 7, 2024. He was born on May 31, 1986 in Starkville, MS to Ken and Jamie Nixon.
Dustin was a lifelong resident of Starkville and attended Starkville Academy.
He is survived by his parents, Ken and Jamie Nixon; his children, Karsyn and Tate Nixon; his wife, Keri Nixon; and his grandparents, Ray Brock and Sandra Wright. Dustin was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jim and Barbara Nixon.
He was an adventurous person who loved the outdoors. Dustin loved being a father and one of his biggest passions in life was racing motocross. At a young age he began racing motocross and in October 2002 Dustin raced in the Amateur Arena Cross World Finals inside the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, NV.
Dustin was a bright, beautiful soul, loved by many and will be truly missed.
Visitation is scheduled for Monday, September 16, 2024 at Welch Funeral Home in Starkville, MS from 1:00-2:00 p.m., with the funeral service immediately following.
