Ezra Lee Rikard

Mr. Ezra Lee Rikard, 87, died Sunday, October 20, 2024, at Erlanger East Hospital in Chattanooga, Tennessee. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, October 30, 2024, at 11:00 A.M. at Clear Creek Cemetery in Oxford, Mississippi conducted by Edison Quevedo, son in law of Mr. Rikard.

Mr. Rikard was born on August 19, 1937, to the late Mary Hudnall and T.D. Rikard. As a high school student of University High School, in Oxford he was a star member of the baseball team, nurturing a lifelong love of the sport. As a native of Oxford, he was a natural fan of the Ole Miss Rebels Football team. He retired after 35 years working for Don R Fruchey in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Mr. Rikard was a beloved member of the Tyner Church of Christ, and in his spare time, an avid fisherman.

Mr. Rikard is survived by his wife of 67 years, Marlene (Tracey) Rikard of Chattanooga, TN; daughters, Linda Gordon and her husband, Larry, of Fort Wayne, IN, Sherry Gangewere, of Berwick, PA, Lisa McDowd and her husband, Kevin, of Navarre, FL and Teresa Quevedo and her husband Edison of Mesa, AZ; son, Terry Rikard and his wife, Jodi, of Burlington, NC; sisters, Linda Rikard, Martha Cutcher of Memphis, TN, and Gloria Joiner of Yazoo City, MS; brother, WT Rikard and his wife Sallie of Pope, MS; as well as 10 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
