Hollis Odell Roberts

Hollis “Odell” Roberts 90, passed away on Wednesday, December 18, 2024 in the Tupelo Hospital after a fall. He has lived within a 15 mile radius of Baldwyn his entire life.
He was a founding member of the Hillcrest church of Christ in Baldwyn. While he worked in a number of companies over 40 years including Pennsylvania Tire, he loved farming and gardening. In his years of living in Baldwyn, his garden was always big enough to share with friends, neighbors and church members. One of his favorite events of every year was the Friday after Thanksgiving. There could be 30 people for Thanksgiving Lunch but Dad’s Friday Morning’s Chocolate gravy could have 40 people.
He is survived by his daughter Lisa Roberts McCreary (Sammy) of Nashville,TN, Marty Roberts (Janice) of Long Beach, MS, and David Roberts (Eileen) of Edmond, OK: 7 grandchildren: Brandon Roberts (Courtney) of Jacksonville, FL, Brigitte Roberts Nichols (Tanner) Bentonville, AR, Brian Roberts of Charleston, SC, Britanny McCreary Mortimer (Kent) of Kilmichael, MS, and Ben McCreary (Mary Blair) of Nashville, TN, Dr. Neil Roberts (Jeny), Melissa Roberts (Marko) Chulev. Great Grandchildren: Autumn McCreary Raines (Dustin), Dylan McCreary, Emma McCreary, Jackson Edge, Mitchell Roberts, Mark Roberts, Megan Roberts, Mallory Roberts, Hughes Motimer, Wiley Mortimer, Vera Love Mortimer, Greyson Nichols, Mara Chulev, Mary Scott McCreary, and Hollis McCreary. Great Great Grandchildren: Reid Raines and Camp Raines.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 66 years Polly Ann Green Roberts, his parents John Arbouth and Hattie Mae Chaffin Roberts, his brother Leo Roberts, his sister Hazel Roberts Stephens and infant sister Irene Roberts, one grandson Bradley Kimball McCreary.
Funeral services will be at Waters Funeral Home on Saturday, December 21, 2024 at 10 AM with Bro. Tim Childs officiating. Visitation will be Friday December 20, 2024 at Waters Funeral Home from 5 PM to 8 PM
