George Sim Derrick, Sr., 76, passed away December 10, 2024, in home hospice with his loving companion Sherry Stroud. He was a Vietnam Veteran with the United States Army and a lifelong member of the VFW.
He is survived by his four children, George Sim Derrick, Jr., Rhonda Gail McCord, Michelle Renee Crawson and Robert Andrew Derrick; 14 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by, parents, Marion Andrew Derrick Sr. and Addie Lou Derrick; 3 brothers; and 2 sisters.
There was a graveside service with military honors at the Hatley Cemetery on December 28, 2024.
