Bobby Wallis
Baldwyn – Bobby Wayne Wallis, Born March 7, 1942 in Baldwyn, MS passed away on March 9, 2025, at the age of 83. He was born to the late Jettie Hendrix Wallis and Mescal Arvard Wallis. Bobby was provider, a loving husband/father and a friend to whoever he met. He went by Pop to all the grandkids who he loved and adored. He wanted to smile and have fun and tried to infect everyone with his laughter being the center of attention. He was a hard worker when needed but lived his best days outdoors. He spent many days around a campfire enjoying the company of his close camping buddies playing games and cooking. He was an excellent welder and was known for being able to fix anything or at least giving everything he could to solve someone else’s problems. He loved his church family at First Baptist Baldwyn and would go out of his way to help anyone in need.
He is survived by his wife Linda Faye Wallis his children, Bobby Wallis II “Bob” of Franklin TN, Michael Wallis (Allison) of Huntsville AL, Brian Wallis (Landon) of New Albany; Grandchildren, Sloan Wallis of Atlanta GA, Mack Wallis, Cooper Wallis, Coleman Wallis and Grae Wallis of New Albany, Colton Zimmerman, Nora Zimmerman, Ruby Zimmerman, Isaac Zimmerman of Huntsville AL; brother, Tim Wallis (Lisa) of Booneville; sisters, Faye Adair of Baldwyn and Carolyn Medlin McVey (Mac) of Baldwyn; and whole lot more family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Monroe, Forrest Barber, John Houston, Bob Maddox, Bill West and James Swinney.
Visitation will be at First Baptist Church in Baldwyn on Wednesday, March 12 from 2:00-4:00 P.M. Funeral Services with Bro. Robert “Jody” Gamble officiating will follow visitation. Burial will be private at Lebanon Cemetery
The family ask that memorials be sent to the First Baptist Church in Baldwyn.
