Barbara Ann Tutor “Bea” Foster

Mrs. Barbara Ann Tutor “Bea” Foster, 80, died Saturday, May 24, 2025, at her home in Thaxton, Mississippi. The funeral will be Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel of Waller Funeral Home with Rev. Allen Drewery officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the service beginning at 10:00 A.M.

Barbara was born on October 28, 1944, in Toccopola, Mississippi, to the late Edith O.V. Britt and Harold Langston Tutor. She worked as a systems analyst until her retirement, after which she relished the extra time to spend gardening and tending to her flowers. A beloved member of Pine Bluff Church of Christ, Barbara practiced her faith daily through frequent acts of kindness and a constant willingness to serve others. Though she lived in Rebel territory, her granddaughter converted her to a Mississippi State Fan, and she enjoyed Saturdays spent together watching football. More than anything, Barbara cherished her dear husband of 62 years, John, and their precious family. She was delighted by her only granddaughter, Karlie, who she devoted all of her time to spoiling with love and attention.

Barbara is survived by her husband, John Henry Foster, of Thaxton, Mississippi; son, John Brodie Foster and his wife, Faydra, of Germantown, Tennessee; sister, Peggy White of Thaxton, Mississippi; brother, Gerald Tutor of Tupelo, Mississippi; and granddaughter, Karlie Foster.
