Charles Wayne Cooper
Guntown- Charles Wayne Cooper, 70, passed away at the Magnolia Regional Hospital in Corinth. He was a hard worker that stayed busy and a retired furniture factory worker. He loved his family and enjoyed playing pool and spending time with his grandchildren. He was a member of Jacinto Church of Christ.
Funeral services will be held at Waters Funeral Home on Monday, June 16, 2025 @ 1:00 p. m. with Bro. Stanley Shook and Bro. Danny Rogers officiating. Burial will be in Jacinto Church of Christ Cemetery.
He is survived by three daughters, Donna Kaye Chaffin of Baldwyn, Marjorie Newby (Carl) of Booneville and Sylvia Tigner (Britt) of Baldwyn; son, Michael Chaffin of Guntown; sisters, Edna Lanier and Mary Sills; brothers, Robert Cooper and William Cooper; grandchildren, Ashley, Kayla, Deanna, Anthony, Neal, Hannah, Braxton and Alahanna; (24) great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha J. Cooper; parents, Joseph and Dorothy Barnett Cooper; brother, Frank Cooper; sisters, Marie Newman, Clara Anderson, Priscilla Fleming, Virginia Rakestraw and Nancy Franks; grandson, Robert Chaffin.
Pallbearers will be Carl Newby, Britt Tigner, Braxton Tigner, Neal Tigner, Austin Lee and Anthony Lee.
Visitation will be at Waters Funeral Home on Sunday from 5:00 – 8:00 p. m.
