Mrs. Judith Lynn McGee Evans, 84, died Friday, September 19, 2025, at The Magnolia at Oxford Commons in Oxford, MS. A memorial service will be held at NorthPark Presbyterian Church on November 14, 2025 at 10 A.M. in Dallas, TX.
Mrs. Evans was born on May 30, 1941, in Berwin, IL to the late Hunter and Vivian Chadwick Michaels. At sixteen, she met her late husband, Charles Ethan “Dick” McGee, Jr. After marrying a few short years later, they began their lives together raising their children while Judith worked alongside Dick as his office manager. She was a longtime and active member of NorthPark Presbyterian Church in Dallas where she was an ordained Deacon and involved in various ministries including the Cancer Pillow Ministry which she led for many years. Judith was always active, full of excitement for life and was rarely seen without a smile or a witty comment to amuse you. She also enjoyed playing bridge and was particularly gifted at introducing others to the game and inviting them into her social circle.
Mrs. Evans is survived by her husband, Vernon Evans of Dallas, TX; a daughter, Melissa Renne and her husband, Alan of Essex, CT; a son, Mike McGee and his wife, Sharon of Oxford, MS; a sister, Pamela Hoffman of Southampton, PA; four grandchildren, Alice “Ali” Freeland, Anna McGee, Austin Rakowski and Brandon Rakowski and one great-grandchild, Reid Freeland.
