Glen Allen Higginbotham

July 3, 1942 ~ October 6, 2025

Glen Allen Higginbotham, 83, of Guntown, Mississippi — beloved husband, father,

grandfather, brother, and friend — went to his Heavenly home on October 6, 2025,

surrounded by the love of his family. He was born on July 30, 1942, in Chickasaw County to Richmond and Myrtle Rucker Higginbotham. Glen graduated from Vardaman High School and worked at Stone Container for 36 years. He was also a faithful member of Guntown First Baptist Church.Glen was a man of unwavering faith, quiet strength, and deep devotion to those he loved. He lived his life with integrity, kindness, and a generous heart—always ready to lend a helping

hand, share a story, or offer a word of encouragement. He loved Ole Miss football and had a fascination with a Studebaker car. His legacy will live on through his children, grandchildren, and all who were blessed to know him.

Glen is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Wanda Higginbotham; his daughters April (Jason) Grissom of Guntown and Amber (Jamie) Williams of Baldwyn; his sister Eloise Thomas of Brandon, MS; his grandchildren Carly Sudduth, McKayla Westmoreland, Kyle Westmoreland, Landon Grissom, Lydia Grissom, and Mary Williams; and one great-grandchild, Ezra Foster.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his sisters Etoyle Little (Bill) and Shelby Rhodes (Jimmy); and his brother Herley Higginbotham (Pearl).

Visitation will be held on October 10, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Waters Funeral

Home. 

Funeral services will take place the following day at 11 a.m. on October 11, 2025, following visitation from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Guntown First Baptist Church.

Pallbearers will be Petey Hopkins, Garrett Bumpers, Brian Morgan, Chris Clark, Justin Clark,

Don Grammer Jr., Murray Smith, and Jacob Smith.

Honorary pallbearers will be Danny Waters and Tommy Waters of the Saltillo Plumbing and Electrical Store.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Guntown First Baptist Church Building Fund.
