Blue Springs- Ricky Watson, age 64, passed away in his home Thursday January 15, 2026 after an extended illness. He was of the Baptist faith. He retired from Union country road maintenance crew. He enjoyed the outdoors, riding horses, attending horse shows, spending time with his family especially his grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at Parks Baptist Church on Saturday January 17, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in Community Cemetery. Waters Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
He is survived his wife Cindy Watson, his mother Mary Voncile Watston, his two daughters Misty Lee Dawn Schallock (Austin) of New Albany, Crystal Dawn Rooker (Chris) of New Albany, 1 brother Steve Watson (Laurie) of New Albany, 5 Grandchildren Austin, Montana, Asia, Layla Jo, and Bowen. 4 great-grandchildren Kyle, Krue, Taytum and Jay; and special friend and caregiver Gary Hart (Reida) of Blue Springs.
He is Preceded in death by his father Billy Joe Watson.
Pallbearers will be his family.
Visitation will be at Parks Baptist Church Saturday January 17, 2026 9:30 until service time at 11:00 a.m.
