Mrs. Barbara Ann Hoffman, 83, died Thursday, January 15, 2026, at Baptist Memorial Hospital North MS. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Born in Chilton, Wisconsin to the late Joseph Jaeckels and Romilda Walber, Mrs. Hoffman worked in various positions at the University of Mississippi before retiring and enjoying a slower life with her husband of 62 years. She was a longtime and active member of St. John The Evangelist Catholic Church. The people in her life benefited from her generous spirit, always eager to share her time and talents with a smile and a kind word. With a servant’s heart, she was a regular volunteer at The Pantry and prioritized the time she spent in daily prayer.
Survivors include her husband, Ronald Hoffman of Oxford, MS; two daughters, Lynn Hantz and her husband, Brooks of Memphis, TN and Pamela Johnson and her husband, Mike of Oxford, MS; a son, Brian Hoffman and his wife, Teresa of Garner, NC; five grandsons, Cameron, Brandon, Matthew, Alexander and Ethan; five great-grandchildren and a host of siblings, in-laws, cousins, nieces and nephews.
