Mr. Rodney Frank Morrow, 72, died Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at his home in Oxford. He was born on December 31, 1953 to the late Joe and Marjorie Morrow.
As a small child Rodney developed an early fascination with dinosaurs after finding a small toy in a snack package. He asked his father what it was and was taken to an encyclopedia where he looked at the pictures with many wonders. This fascination continued throughout his life, reading as many scientific papers and books as he could.
He was also an enthusiastic supporter of science and space travel encouraged by his father’s employment in the space program in the 1960’s. This may also have influenced his interests in UFOs and, no doubt, his great interest in science fiction (and some fantasy). Among his favorite authors were Arthur C. Clarke, Ray Bradbury, Frederik Pohl, and JRR Tolkien. He never stopped learning about his favorite subjects and asking the next question.
He was a very successful sales person who specialized in high end sound equipment and televisions. He was known for his expertise and believed in “quality sight and sound for your senses.” He worked at Berclair Television in Memphis for many years.
He leaves his wife of 40 years, Deborah A. Langston, as well as many friends family, and was preceded in death by many more friends and family. He was a very loved and very special man who fought with grace and candor against a disease that would not be controlled.
