Margaret Murphy Anglin

Baldwyn- Margaret Murphy Anglin departed this life on Thursday, February 12, 2026 at her home. She was born in Saltillo, MS on September 11, 1928 to the late William Curtis and Edna Langston Murphy. She worked at Abbots Laboratories for several years in North Chicage. IL and when she returned to Mississippi, she became a seamstress. She loved southern gospel music, especially quartets. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, reading and poetry. She was a member of Baldwyn First Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held at Waters Funeral Home on Monday, February 16, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. with Dr. Terry Cutrer officiating with the eulogy given by Stephen Ronald Moore II. Burial will be in Prentiss Memorial Gardens.

She is survived by a son, Stephen Ronald Moore (Ruby); two grandsons, Stephen Ronald Moore II and William Daniel Moore; several nieces and nephews; great-granddaughter, Stephanie Rose Moore.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William Curtis and Edna Langston Murphy; her husband, Julius Caldwell Anglin; a stillborn daughter, Rose Donna Anglin; seven brothers, Thomas Leonard Murphy, Grover Cleveland Murphy, John Flavus Murphy, William Hunert Murphy, John Merle Murphy, twin brother, Thomas Murry Murphy and James Allen Murphy; her first husband and father of her son, George Lawrence Moore.

Pallbearers will be Stephen Moore, William Moore, Murry Murphy, O’Neal Murphy, Don Knight, Al Sherfey, Ricky Murphy, Mitchell Pannell and Sammy Peach.

Visitation will be at Waters Funeral Home on Monday, February 16, 2026 from noon until service time @ 2:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or American Heart Association.
