Frederick Vincent Brown

Mr. Frederick Vincent Brown, 83, died Friday, April 10, 2026, at his home in Water Valley, MS. The funeral will be Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel of Waller Funeral Home with Rev. Hayden Eubanks officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the service beginning at 9:30 A.M. Burial will follow in Browning Cemetery.

Born on December 9, 1942 in St. Louis, MO, Frederick Vincent Brown was the eldest of five children of Fred and Frances Brown.

An avid outdoorsman, Fred mastered the arts of hunting and fishing like none other. There’s no place he’d rather have been than calling up a gobbler in a field or reeling in the biggest fish in the pond. Fred also enjoyed piloting small aircraft and traveling, with Italy being a favorite destination, growing tomatoes and sharing his love of the great outdoors with others.

Fred served his county for four distinguished years as a paratrooper in the 101st Airborne Division and retired as a lineman from the Bell South Corporation.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Frances Brown and his brother, Carl Brown.

Fred leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 46 years, Imogene Brown of Water Valley, daughters Lisa Blair (Clay) of Senatobia, Christina Tutt (Trevor) of New Boston, TX, siblings Thomas Brown, Walter Brown, JoAnn Alfriend and Nancy Williams. Fred is also survived by 10 grandchildren, Tanner, Mary Kathryn, Ashley, Josh, Chris, Patrick, Emma, James, Bailey and Chaniya as well as 4 great-grandchildren, Josiah, Sophia, Lily and Adeen.

Fred was a member of Sylva Rena Baptist Church.
