Billy Wayne Wells

Billy Wayne Wells, 68, died Monday, March 9, 2020 at his home in Oxford, MS. The funeral service will be held in the Chapel of Waller Funeral Home on Thursday, March 12, 2020 at 2:00 P.M. with Elder James Hall officiating. Burial will follow in Church Grove Cemetery in Oxford, MS. The visitation will be held prior to the service at the funeral home from 1:00 P.M. until service time.

Born to the late Lloyd G. Wells, Sr. and Ida Mae Jenkins Wells, Billy knew the Lord and was at peace with Jesus Christ. Mr. Wells was a Heating & Air Supervisor and had worked for Wingo Heating & Air, Buck Fondren Heating & Air and Vaughn Heating & Cooling. He enjoyed many years of supporting his hunting club, “Sure Shot.” He would work really hard to ensure his nieces and nephews enjoyed exciting squirrel, dove, rabbit, and deer hunting experiences. Billy was affectionately known as “Uncle Billy” to everyone. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Amy Lou Varner Wells.

He is survived by two sisters Teresa Eichhorn (Larry) of Ridgeland, MS and Judy Kay Davis (Carl) of Ocean Springs, MS; a brother, George Wells (Shirley) of Water Valley, MS; numerous nieces, nephews and friends. He was very close to his nieces and nephews.
