Ms. Brenda Susan McFadden was born January 1, 1952 to parents Carroll McFadden and Annette (Beckley) McFadden. She departed this life February 23, 2020 peacefully in her home. She was raised in a family driven environment. She was a member of Bethel A.M.E church and was involved in several organizations. Brenda had several occupations throughout her life, but when she became a teacher she found her calling. She worked for Tupelo Public School System for years as an assistant. She worked for the McDougal Center for special needs children, and she spent a short time at the Montessori School of Tupelo working with the babies. Whether you knew her as Mama Brenda, Ms. Mac, or Brenda Sue, you felt loved whenever she was around. When she moved to Mississippi, she became a member of College Hill C.M.E Church. She loved her church family and devoted time to cleaning the church, helping in the kitchen, and volunteering at Ole Miss football games. She loved the choir and was the first one to jump up when they sang.
Brenda was preceded in death by her parents Carroll McFadden Sr. and Annette Beckley McFadden, brothers Carroll McFadden Jr. (Audrey), Joseph McFadden, Charles McFadden, sisters, Terry McFadden, and Bridgette McFadden.
She leaves to cherish her memories: one son Jemon McFadden (Miwa) of San Antonio, TX, one daughter Racheal Hill (Brandon) of Belden, MS, one brother Scott McFadden (Carla) of Ann Arbor, MI, sisters Michelle McFadden of Ann Arbor, MI, Earnestine McFadden of Nashville, TN, Kimberly Parks of Los Angeles, CA, special cousins Martha Monk-Hill of Nashville, TN, Evelyn Floyd and Shirley McKinney both of Pontotoc, MS, and Wanda Floyd of Tupelo, MS.
