Dorothy Beatrice Reed, 80, passed away Friday, January 31, 2020, at her home in Jumpertown. She was born in Prentiss County on April 28, 1939, to Marshall Reed and Ruby Fuller Reed. She enjoyed yard work, mending broken things, mowing, going to Wal-Mart, and gospel singing.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Tuesday, February 4, 2020, at Lamb’s Chapel with Bro. Gene Colthart and Bro. Rex Bullock officiating. Visitation will be Monday, February 3 from 5 until 8 P.M. at Booneville Funeral Home and again on Tuesday, February 4 from 11 until 1 P.M. at Lamb’s Chapel. Burial will be in Jumpertown Cemetery. Booneville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
She is survived by her brothers, Kenneth Reed (Kathy), Billy Reed, Floyd Reed, Joe Reed (Kathy); her sister, Carolyn Michaels; 23 nieces & nephews; a host of great nieces & nephews; and lots of loving cousins.
She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Jimmy Dale Reed; sister, Shirley Plaxico; and two brother in laws, Hardy Plaxico and Harold Michaels.
Pallbearers will be Billy Earl Reed, Brian Reed, Jim Reed, Shane Reed, James Ray Plaxico, Bill Plaxico, Bud Michael, Phil Reed, and Junior Reed.
